Welcome to OriginaLiterate; I created this group to give people a place where they can publish their literary works without worrying that something less literary might take attention away from them. As such, we accept literary creations only. (The definition of that will likely vary, but in general: poetry, prose, songs, haikus, or stories will be accepted. Essays, games, jokes, links, images, and other posts will be declined.)
We have a few basic rules that all members will be required to follow: 1) Original content only. This means, no copying in someone else's literature. That may be plagiarism if you don't credit it properly, and it's certainly going to annoy people. 2) Literary content only. We covered this above, but I like reiterating myself. 3) Responsible commentary only. If you are a member of this group, you will be expected to behave graciously as a member, and will comment on others' works with constructive criticism. Any member who is found to be using the comments system to harass or abuse other members will be blocked from further participation in the group. Summary: Founded to provide creative writing enthusiasts a place to post their work without any chance of having their posts alongside 'non-serious' articles. When I first created Breaking 3,000, the biggest complaint I received was from people who felt that the literate segment was not being properly represented. After some pondering, I created this group. Policies: Content that is not creative-writing-oriented (stories, poems, essays, etc) will usually be denied, as will pictures and video that are not relevant to the group's theme. Group Stats
